The One Hundred and Sixty-Seventh Day of The Walk
Island

Madison, WI

Started walk 6:40 a.m.

Sunny and cool.

I could hear bull frogs but couldn't see them. The raspberries are still ripening. I'm surprised that they are not all devoured by animals and birds.

The Purple Bergamot is blooming in the prairie.

The mosquitos and black flies were bad by the Turtle Log. As the flies swarmed all over Chance's head and face I swatted them off. It kept me busy. Coffee--Costa Rican--Good. Rhubarb Muffin. No Cigar.
