2nd Day of Summer
Sunrise at 5:18 a.m.
Sunset at 8:41 p.m.
The One Hundred and Fifty-Nineth Day of The
Walk
Madison, WI
Started walk 6:30 a.m.
The second longest day of the year was as sunny and warm as the first.
I had never noticed the milkweed flower before today. The leaves on the
plant that I photographed were being eaten by bugs.
I later learned in my Peterson's Guide that the milkweed is a favorite of Monarch
larve that feed on the noxious leaves to gain immunity from bird predators.
Coffee--Costa Rican--OK--Much better than yesterday but that's not saying much.
