Sunny and cool. There was a big thunderstorm during the night so the trails were wet.

White purple and pink Woodland Phlox (also know as Dame's Rocket) is in bloom everywhere. This flower is much like garden phlox but has four not five petals.

This spring flower is one of my favorites with its pleasant scent, tall stalks and elegant petal clusters. It's clustered in wood clearings, along the borders of paths and on the edges of fields. It is a feast for the eyes.
