Started walk 6:55 a.m.
Today there was a cold steady rain. Nothing like yesterday. I took an umbrella and wore my fall/winter jacket with my Netdoggie slouch hat.
Also, I tried something new on Chance today. Yesterday, by coincidence, my wife also complained about Chance's pulling.
The difference being -- she did something about it. She went out to the pet store and purchase a Halti Headcollar -- "A Kinder way to walk your dog."
It loosely hangs around the dog's mouth and the dog is controlled with a gentle pull. Previously, I had been resorting to strong tugs on Chance's "claw" collar which, it appeared, Chance liked.
With this new Halti, I was able to walk with two free hands and didn't get jerked around. Ironic isn't it! That is, this being April 15 and not being "jerked around."
The paths were very wet and muddy. Only a few ducks were to be seen. They were not in the duck pond but had taken shelter in the surrounding bushes.
Coffee -- Excellent.
