Madison, WI
Started walk 4:00 p.m.
Sixteenth day of Spring!
The walk was very crowded this afternoon. It was a beautiful sunny
day and I ran into people everywhere on the walk -- including a youngs couple
that were in a standing embrace near the boardwalk, making-out and doing some
serious groping.
Actually, I took two walks today. I walked with my wife in the morning and by
myself with Chance in the afternoon. The morning walk was a little cool but I
didn't need a coat in the p.m.
A big log has become marooned on the island from the high water that cast it afloat.
Whole families of Hmong lined the shore fishing for sunfish and bluegills and perch.
The watercress continues to choke the streams. Nonetheless, its foliage is a brighter
green and it doesn't appear as limp as in Winter.
Daylight savings time begins tomorrow at 2:00 a.m.
It was a beautiful afternoon but the presence of so many people either drowned out the
sing of the birds or -- there were no birds around.
Coffee -- Costa Rican -- Good. No Muffin.
