Seventh day of Spring!

Very mild and sunny. I could smell the earthy smell of earthworms on the sidewalks.

I found three ducks walking in threes down a path. They saw me and headed back into the cover of some brush that skirted the path. I honestly got the feeling that I was interrupting them.

Island There were two big geese on the island but they refused to wait for their photo. On my return walk, I saw four geese swimming by the island and heard their warning honks from a good distance. I could see a woodchuck from across the bay, drinking at the waters edge. It quickly scampered up the side of the bank when it heard me coming.

Island Mortensia is starting to bloom near the duck pond and in the open area where the prairie butts next to the oak savanna. Likewise, yellow crocus is blooming in my own back yard. Such promise.

Coffee -- Costa Rican -- Satisfactory. No muffin.
