The Sixty-Fifth Day of The Walk
IslandMadison, WI

Started walk 6:45 a.m.

The second day of March. Snowcast! Not much snow but, compared to February, anything seems like a blizzard. In this case, we probably got about a 1/4 inch of the white stuff. Very wet and yet very fluffy.

Hawk Just before the duck pond, Heckle and Jeckel were harassing the hawk. They were like fighters attacking a bomber at twelve o:clock high. This particular feathered bomber took refuge in a big oak and the fighters established one sentry in the same oak and another in a nearby tree. In time the game will begin again but I would not be around to witness the action.

No ducks or geese near the island. They now have the bigger lakes as playgrounds. They need to get out, see different waters -- pond fever.

Coffee -- Costa Rican -- Excellent. No Muffin.
