The Sixty-Third Day of The Walk
IslandMadison, WI

Started walk 2:45 p.m..

We didn't take "The Walk" yesterday because it was raining and I slept in this morning opting for the afternoon shift. It had been a sunny, warm morning and afternoon but was starting to cloud over as we began our walk.

I wanted to be careful with Chance because he had eye surgery on Thursday night. I was working at home and my daughter noticed that his eye was very red and almost closed. I thought it might be "pink eye" but it turned out to be a much more expensive ailment. He somehow got some small pebble in his eye that scratched his eyeball.

Chance was recovered and ready for his second walk of the day. A stick in his mouth kept him erect and handsome. There were volunteer workers in the woods and runners on the trails.

No birds, ducks or geese this afternoon.

Coffee -- Costa Rican -- Not good. No Muffin.
