Madison, WI
Started walk at 6:15 a.m.
It was dark and overcast. What's new? It wasn't too cold -- probably in the teens.
The most exciting part of the walk was at the very beginning. We almost didn't take it.
Chance discovered a leather glove. One of those suede gloves with fake fur on the inside.
To Chance, it's just like a dead animal -- and he loves to play with dead animals. He
immediately got a playful, defiant glint in his eyes and proceeded to taunt me with what
he believed was a dead carcass. He tossed it over his head and caught it in mid air.
He nuzzled the glove and encouraged it to move without his assistance. To him it was good
fun but I wanted to get walking. The only way I was able to catch him was to fake going inside.
My ruse worked and we proceeded on our journey.
The walk was quiet and uneventful. Only one runner passed us on the sidewalk. No deer. No owls. No hawks.
No muskrats. No bears. No Antelope. I did however count six big, red Cardnials around the duck pond.
Coffee -- Costa Rican -- OK. Muffin -- Cranberry -- OK.
