Started walk at 7:20 a.m.

The weather was cold this morning. However, the single digit temperature also brought along sunshine. Fair trade.

The ice around the island quickly reclaimed lost territory although there was still a little open water near the mouth of the stream where a few ducks were hanging out.

I filled my Nissan thermos with hot Costa Rican coffee but, as I was lighting up my Gran Montana, Chance tipped the thermos over and I lost half of the contents. The surviving drops were excellent. Muffin -- cranberry -- good -- lots of cranberries.

snow on berries It was a beautiful walk. What a difference a little sunshine can make. The sun persuaded me to take a photo of the same berries I photographed yesterday. I think they look sunnier.
