Spring

June 12, 1998
84th Day of Spring
Sunrise at 5:18 a.m.
Sunset at 8:37 p.m.
The One Hundred and Fifty-First Day of The Walk
Island

Madison, WI

Started walk 6:40 a.m.

Sunny and warm. No turtle soup on the road. That is, the turtle I moved last evening was not roadkill this morning.
I saw Butterfly weed in the prairie along with two other flowers I cannot identify. One I photographed before when it was just red buds. Now, thin, pink/white petals are emerging. This is most probably a purple coneflower. The other had white peapod clusters with clasping lanceolate leaves. This is a different flower than the Prairie False Indigo that I previously had a hard time identifying.

The rest of last evening's Don Nilo Gran Cru maduro cigar . Coffee -- Costa Rican -- OK. Pumpkin Praline Muffin.
