Started walk 6:30 a.m.

Friday morning and the skies are overcast with darts of sunshine leaking between horizon and clouds. I saw deer track in the hardening mud of the trail. Red Wing Blackbirds. No ducks except Dr. Suess.

Honeysuckle in woods    burdened heavy with rain    on leaves and buds bent low    to create a limbo canopy.

Coffee -- Costa Rican - ok.
