It was a cold and drizzling afternoon. It was also the day of my youngest woman child's birthday party. Although she does not officially turn twelve until tomorrow, today is the day of celebration with a select few friends.

The skies are overcast and there are very few people to be seen except a few stolid runners. A lone black crow inhabits the island at this moment in time.
