Started walk 6:25 a.m.
Sunrise. Cold. The "Big Snow" hit on Sunday and the wind was still howling on Monday. I was sick on Sunday and couldn't take the walk. On Monday I was still recuperating and chose not to take the walk. This morning, the snow was deep and the plow piles were frozen hard along the roadside and at our driveway entrance.
This snow will stay with us for some time. After all, it is March. At least it's sunny.
The "bug" was still with me this morning and I didn't enjoy the walk. My boots disintegrated during the walk and my left big toe was open to the elements and my right heel was subjected to an ice dam. I removed my boots two times to extract the frozen ice that built up and, at the coffee shop, I resorted to stuffing napkins in the busted seems to minimize the anticipated discomfort during the walk home.
Coffee -- Costa Rican -- First cup in three days. It was probably good but hard to enjoy. .
