Madison, WI
Started walk at 7:00 a.m.
I had a headache when I woke up this morning and was hoping the cold air during the walk would help.
It didn't. Nonetheless, the new snow was very pretty. We got about 4 - 5 inches the night before
and it was still coming down this morning. It was a fluffy, light, crystal-like snow. It will be
very easy to shovel. But not today, I've got a headache.
As I've said before, Chance loves the snow. There are times when all I see of Chance
is his body. His head's often stuck in the snow much like an Ostrich will stick it's head in the sand. However,
In Chance's case, I doubt if he's trying to hide. He's trying to find something to scarf down. A tasty tidbit
of some sort -- something to chew on.
On the way back home I saw the hawk perched in an oak branch at the edge of the prairie. If I could see its face
I would probably read a sense of resignation, "Is that a tunnel with a mouse in it? Nope. Is that snow moving?
Nope. Damn, too much snow cover! This is going to be a late breakfast." And like before, it wasn't concerned
about my presence.
Coffee -- Costa Rican -- Good. Muffin -- cranberry -- OK.
