Started walk at 6:15 a.m.

The morning was overcast with light flurries. It was dark but not too cold. I took my gloves off for most of the walk. Unless the sky clears up we will not be able to see tonight's full moon. This will be a sharp contrast to the full moon on the night of the Winter Solstice .

No birds peeping. Must be sleeping.

A man walked in to the coffee shop in great spirits. He was saying good morning to everyone in the place. He was obviously a staunch Packer fan and could not hide his happiness for yesterday's victory. He pointed out that he ws looking forward to his coffee as he was partying all night long. And no, he wasn't wearing a cheesehead hat.

For those of you who didn't know, the Green Bay Packers won the NFC Championship. Go Pack!

The warm stream waters and the ice are playing tug-o-war over control of the water's winter character. The stream waters made substantial gains with yesterday's slight warming and creeped out into the inlet about 25 feet.

Coffee -- Costa Rican -- good. Muffin -- cranberry -- acceptable.
